Battle River Berries was founded in 2004 by Paul and Jacquie Mitchell
It initially started as an 8 acre U-pick berry orchard and has since expanded to include a 30 acre Commercial orachard and has brought in both Barb and Terry Mitchell (Pauls parents) as partners.
We currently offer the following fruit: 2 acres of Strawberries(U-Pick), 1 acre of Saskatoons (U-pick), 1/2 acre of Raspberries(U-pick), 20 acres of Haskap(commercially pre-picked) and 6 acres of U of S Sour cherries (Both commercially pre-picked and U-picked)
We are generally opened to the public for picking starting the first of July.
We are located 7 kms south west of Battleford along highway 29 and then another 7 kms south on grid (Turn after our sign)
Our commercial orchard is located at another site and fruit there will be maturing around 2010. All fruit here will be machine harvested or picked by contract pickers.
