Government Grants
http://www4.agr.gc.ca/AAFC-AAC/display-afficher.do?id=1181580519716&lang=e Environmental Farm Plan- This program along with the PCAB program provides producers information and funding to implement more environmentally friendly methods of farming. After completing an environmental farm plan we were able to apply for funding that assisted with paying the following: Fencing, Grass cover, main water lines for watering cattle, and having a soil and water assesment done along with an engeneering design of a preliminary irrigation system (this assesment is required if you want to apply for an irrigation certificate). In total we received well over $8000 dollars of assistance for steps we were planning on doing anyways. This program is currently being re-assesed by the government and may change in the future.
